Aoeii (conquerors exp. too) did not work on the original windows 7 build, but now does, however, no matter what i do, scouring the internet for solutions and ways to solve the problem the graphics issue of the red grass and purple water stay.. I have a problem running age of empires 2 on windows 7. the colors are not properly displayed. - start the game (aoe2) and press alt + tab - launch the task manager (ctrl + alt + del) go to the processes tab and look for explorer.exe - right click on.... I recently purchased a new computer and am having problems loading age of empires 2, the initial movie and intro starts up fine but when it gets to the main page i can hear the background sounds but the entire sceen is a grey/black/white static (like on a tv with no signal)..
